Lifestyle Show Host/ Producer
Job DescriptionKTUL-TV has an immediate opening for a dynamic, energetic, and experienced full-time Host/Producer on our live weekday morning lifestyle program. In this position, you will be working on day-to-day production which includes hosting, producing daily content and line producing. The ideal host will conduct live and taped paid and non-paid interviews, segments and packages, and go live in the field. You will be expected to produce daily content on a variety of platforms including the internet, social networking sites, in addition to the live broadcast. Responsibilities:No day will look the same as a host/ producer, however, the main responsibilities of the role will include:Assists with daily show preparation and content generationAbility to conduct live and taped interviews in studio and in the fieldAssist with booking guests and writing teasesParticipates in pre and post-show meetingsProduce sales segments (live and pre-taped) in rundownCreate and order graphics for paid/non-paid segmentsCall and schedule sales clients for in studio interviews and shootsWrite and deliver interviews and stories in a clear and concise mannerAll other duties as directed by managementCreate and write/ shoot and edit daily shows and segmentsGenerate editorial content that enhances the Lifestyle brand and takes the show to the next levelWork alongside sales/marketing associates to line up guest segments and complete weekly sponsored content reportsDrive social media engagement with a strong presence on Facebook, Instagram, etc.Have great people skills with an emphasis on coaching and motivating our guestsOther responsibilities as directed by Executive ProducerRequired Skills:Have a creative mindsetStrong writing skills and sharp judgment in production qualityA proven track record of getting results on initiativesDetail-oriented and ability to work well independentlyBe able to multitask and manage time to simultaneously work on multiple projectsMust be able to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environmentAbility to identify problems and provide solutions Additionally, this person should have...A Bachelor's degree in Journalism, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experienceA minimum of 2 years of on-air hosting experience on a Lifestyle Show or equivalentStrong interviewing and interpersonal skillsMust work professionally and collaboratively and help foster a team environment with co-workersProfessional interaction and collaboration with clients and guests is requiredThe ability to carry out sales segments as assignedSharp judgmentExcellent technical skillsThe ability to work well independentlyExperience with live shots is requiredExperience with Live-U is a plusMust have and maintain a valid driver's license and a good driving recordProficiency with computers, telephones, and other office equipmentThe ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslySinclair is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and a drug free workplace.
