Job Title: AV Hardware TechnicianLocation: San Francisco, CA (Onsite)Contract: 12+ MonthsDescription:AV Hardware Validation and Quality Control Support ProjectProject OverviewThe client is seeking a staffing partner to provide personnel to support an Autonomous Vehicle (AV) hardware validation and quality control operation. Resources provided under this engagement will execute established procedures for testing, validating, processing, and tracking hardware components used in AV data collection systems.The work will be performed in a warehouse and lab environment using documented standard operating procedures (SOPs), test benches, and validation workflows. Personnel will be responsible for executing repeatable testing and processing activities while maintaining quality, accuracy, and throughput targets.Scope of Services:Resources assigned to this project may perform the following activities:Hardware Validation and TestingConnect sensors, compute devices, and related hardware to validation benches.Execute documented test procedures and validation workflows.Verify hardware functionality against defined pass/fail criteria.Record and track test results in designated systems.Apply appropriate status labels and asset tracking information.Software and Firmware ValidationPerform firmware updates and software installation activities.Execute predefined scripts and automation workflows.Verify successful completion of software, firmware, and driver updates.Validate expected system behavior following updates.Hardware Processing and DispositionProcess validated hardware for shipment to downstream integration partners.Identify and segregate failed or defective components.Route failed hardware through established repair or RMA workflows.Maintain inventory and disposition records.Operational SupportFollow documented SOPs and work instructions.Escalate issues that cannot be resolved through documented troubleshooting procedures.Maintain organized workspaces and equipment.Support continuous throughput of hardware through the validation pipeline.Resource Qualifications:The staffing provider should supply personnel with the following qualifications:Required:Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.Basic understanding of networking concepts and connectivity troubleshooting.Ability to read, understand, and execute documented procedures.Ability to execute command-line utilities and existing scripts.Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.Experience working in a technical lab, manufacturing, warehouse, testing, or hardware support environment.Preferred:Experience performing hardware testing or validation activities.Familiarity with firmware updates, software installation, and driver management.Basic scripting knowledge (Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar).Experience with inventory control, shipping/receiving, or RMA processes.Ability to independently troubleshoot straightforward hardware and software issues.Familiarity with AV components and sensorsDeliverables:The staffing provider will supply personnel capable of:Executing hardware validation procedures according to documented SOPs.Accurately documenting test outcomes and hardware disposition.Processing hardware through pass, fail, shipping, and RMA workflows.Maintaining defined quality standards and throughput expectations.Escalating exceptions and unresolved issues in accordance with established processes.Work Location:Onsite warehouse and laboratory environment in the San Francisco Bay Area.Work will primarily consist of hands-on bench testing, hardware handling, and operational processing activities.Desired Engagement:Resources should be available for full-time onsite support during standard business hours.Personnel should be capable of ramping quickly using documented procedures and operational training provided by the client.
