At Polymershapes, You’re the Center of All We Do!Polymershapes offers a competitive base pay plus bonus (profit sharing), and a comprehensive benefits program that includes a 401k match program in addition to medical, dental, and vision insurance.The Opportunity:We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven CNC Programmer/Operator to support our machining operations and contribute to continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and production capabilities. This role plays a critical part in programming, optimizing, and supporting CNC machining processes while collaborating closely with operators and production teams.Key Responsibilities:Program CNC machines for a variety of part construction and complex geometries Select appropriate cutting tools, tool paths, speeds, and feed rates for each job Process orders in accordance with customer specifications and production requirements Work closely with CNC operators to validate and optimize NC programs Assist in training CNC operators on programming and machining best practices Maintain part quality by following established inspection processes and standards Perform measurements using tools such as tape measures and micrometers to verify accuracy Troubleshoot machining issues, detect malfunctions, and adjust or reprogram as needed Replace or sharpen worn tools and ensure adherence to quality assurance procedures Support continuous improvement initiatives related to machining processes and product quality Complete preventive maintenance tasks per manufacturer guidelines and report repair needs Maintain clear communication across shifts by documenting production updates, issues, and needs Qualifications:High school diploma or GED preferred Experience with CNC programming and machining (router experience preferred) CAD drawing experience strongly preferred Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including geometry and trigonometry Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer skills Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly Commitment to safety and adherence to all workplace safety procedures Eligibility Requirements:Must be 18 years or older Must pass a background check and drug screening Must be authorized to work in the United States without restriction
