At Notre Dame, your work matters, and so do you!Job DescriptionThe Laura Fields research group is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Student Assistant to support laboratory operations related to particle detector components. This position provides hands-on experience in a research laboratory environment and is ideal for students interested in physics, engineering, research operations, or laboratory support.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with cleaning and preparation of particle detector parts and materialsPerform quality control checks to ensure parts meet laboratory standardsSupport kitting and organization of components for research activitiesPrepare and assist with shipping laboratory parts and materialsMaintain an organized and safe laboratory workspaceWork collaboratively with members of the research team and follow laboratory proceduresQualificationsAbility to stand for extended periods of timeWillingness to learn and follow detailed instructionsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsReliable and punctual with good communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamMust be a Notre Dame studentAdditional InformationMany job responsibilities will take place at the Reynier Laboratory located north of campus.
