Job DescriptionThis position is a 0.5 Art Teacher at Taylor Elementary School.Qualifications:Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.Must be endorsed in Theater.Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.Experience:Experience working with diverse student populationSuccessful teaching experience and curricular knowledge.Experience implementing best practices in Theater Instruction.Responsibilities:Ability to work as part of a teamAbility to communicate effectively with staff, parents, and community membersPrepare theater students for in school and outside performance opportunitiesFlexible, dependable, and highly organizedDesire to work with diverse community of learnersWork effectively with fine arts team.Must be organized with excellent written and oral communication skillsKnowledge in technical theater helpfulStay current with arts related technology and best practicesMust use best practices in maintaining theater practice and performance spacesSalary:Salary will be based on the FY2026-27 salary schedule.Arlington Public Schools is an Equal Opportunity Employer
