Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionThe Electrical Lead is a hands-on leader responsible for performing electrical work while simultaneously directing daily activities of the electrical team. This role balances production work, crew leadership, and field support, ensuring electrical installations are completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with production schedules.RequirementsKey ResponsibilitiesHands-On Electrical Work (Primary Focus)Actively perform electrical installation alongside crew:Rough wiring, device install, panel terminationsLighting, outlets, and system connectionsLead by example in productivity, quality, and workmanshipStep in to support any station to maintain production flowCrew LeadershipDirect and coordinate 2-6 electricians or helpers on the floorAssign daily tasks based on production schedule and prioritiesTrain and mentor team members on best practices and standardsEnsure crew meets daily output and quality expectationsProduction Line ExecutionWork across stations (rough, trim, finish) as neededMaintain production pace and prevent bottlenecksCommunicate delays or constraints to production leadershipAdjust manpower in real-time to keep units movingSite Work & Electrical ConnectionsLead electrical scope during module set and field installation:Interconnection between modulesMain service and feeder connectionsPanel tie-ins and system startupFinish interior / exterior electrical trim out and installation of smart home systemTroubleshoot and resolve field issues quicklyEnsure installations meet National Electrical Code (NEC) and local inspection requirementsQuality & ComplianceInspect own work and crew work for accuracy and consistencyEnsure all work meets company standards and code requirementsPrepare units for inspection and resolve punch list itemsSafetyFollow and enforce safety practices aligned with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)Promote safe work habits and proper PPE useIdentify and address hazards on the floor and in the fieldQualifications5+ years electrical experience (modular, residential, or light commercial)Prior experience leading a small crew while working in the fieldStrong knowledge of electrical systems and installation methodsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and production drawingsPreferred:Experience in modular or prefab constructionExperience with multi-unit production environmentsJourneyman Electrician licenseSkillsHands-on leadership (lead while working)Strong work ethic and productivity mindsetProblem-solving and troubleshootingCommunication and team coordinationAbility to work in a fast-paced production environmentWork EnvironmentIndoor manufacturing facility + occasional field/site workPhysically active role (tools, ladders, lifting)Fast-paced, production-driven settingSalary Description
