The Restaurant Host is primarily responsible for the greeting guests, taking reservations (in person and over the phone), and escorting guests to their seats. The restaurant host also answers phone calls, records and processes take-out orders over the phone, and answers any customer inquiries regarding the restaurant and the menu. This is a part-time position. ResponsibilitiesGreet guests and patrons upon arrival at the restaurant with professionalism, customer service, and a hospitable attitudeAnswer restaurant phone calls timely; assist with transferring phone calls, recording reservations, and processing take-out orders as requested by guestsReview reservation list and ensure seating arrangement is in accordance to guests' preference and/or restaurant guidelines; escort guest(s) to designated dining spaceResponsible for organizing and maintaining host stand and entrance of the restaurant; ensure all menus are clean, organized, and updated with most updated menuMaintain knowledge of restaurant happenings, including menu updates, operational guidelines, service hours, special offerings, etc.Possess knowledge of complete menu offerings, including production specifications, ingredients, cooking times, presentation/packaging, etc.Support all team members to ensure guests receive high quality service; provide notes and insights if guests have special requests, assist team by clearing/cleaning/pre-setting tables for next party, ensure hospitable experience for all guestsProtect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol control policiesUnderstand and assist with execution of responsible alcohol serviceFollow, adhere, and practice the Safety and Sanitation standards set forth by the Food & Beverage Department including but not limited to:Social distancingUse of face mask/covering when in common areas, presence of guests, and where Social Distancing is not possibleUse of gloves when handling guest food or beverageCleaning and sanitizing high contact surfaces that are frequently used by guests and fellow employeesFrequent handwashing, regardless of use of glovesOther tasks as assigned by supervisors and/or managers SkillsMinimum 18 years of age1-year experience working as a host in an upscale restaurant preferredStrong attention to detail; strong customer service/hospitality skillsMust possess excellent interpersonal skills and diplomacyStrong communication skillsAbility to lift, push, and pull 20lbsWorks well with others; establishing and maintaining effective relationships with fellow workers and supervisorsFlexible schedule: ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as requiredMust be able to work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures Knowledge, Skills and Experience Education - High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience Required - 0-1 Year MR2026 Company: Anaheim Arena Management, LLC (F&B) Our Commitment: We are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and team members without regard to race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), national origin, political affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, genetic information, age, membership in an employee organization, parental status, military service, medical condition or any protected category prohibited by local, state or federal laws.
