The Company enhances its roster of brands by licensing trademarks from third parties, including: Nike® for swimwear, and Callaway®, PGA TOUR®, and Jack Nicklaus® for golf apparel.The Perry Ellis International, Nike Swim team are currently looking for a Summer Merchandising Intern in Portland, OR!What You’ll DoCollaborate and interface with all cross-functional teams including design, sales, product development, technical design, and marketingReviews quantitative selling reports to perform analysis on seasonal best/worst sellersShadow merchandising supervisor and attend meetings with cross functional teamsPrepared summaries of work status and present to merchandising supervisorCreate and maintain seasonal digital catalogs within Nuorder platformOrganize current and future season samplesHelp analyze the competitive market in order to ensure pricing and brand positioning is in line with the completionPrepare regular competitive shopping recaps using online and in store dataPerform trend research as neededParticipate in and help prepare for meetings, including market preparation with showroom samples and presentation boardsHelp the merchandising and design teams with any additional tasksSkills, Knowledge, And AbilitiesStrong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external audiences.Ability to prioritize and multitaskStrong analytical and decision-making skillsAbility to interact with varying personalitiesMust have the ability to present a professional and informative product and trendassortment to internal and external audiences.Proficient in MS Office and Google and Adobe IllustratorRequirementsPursuing a 4 year college degreeCurrently enrolled and attending an accredited universityStrong interest in both merchandising and fashionKnowledge of Google Applications including Excel/Google SheetsDetail oriented and deadline drivenAbility to multitaskExcellent communication skillsSchedule is Monday through ThursdayWhat’s In It For You?
