Part Time Tour Guide/Host - Philadelphia Distilling

Tasting Room Host & Tour Guide This role is onsite at Philadelphia Distilling in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Schedule: Thursday, Friday 4pm-close, Saturday-Sunday 1pm-close.What the Role IsThe Tasting Room Host & Tour Guide will be the first point of contact for guests visiting Philadelphia Distilling. This position will check guests in for tours, tastings, cocktail classes, and events, while also leading them on engaging and educational tours of the production facility. The Host & Tour Guide will bring our story to life from the history of distilling in Philadelphia to the unique characteristics of our spirits and help guests experience our brand firsthand.How You Will Spend Your Time?Greet and check in guests for reservations, tastings, and events using the booking systemConduct engaging tours of the distillery, sharing process, history, and the stories behind the spiritsLead spirit tastings and educate guests on proper tasting techniques and flavor profilesAssist with retail operations, including sharing product knowledge and guiding purchase decisionsMaintain a welcoming, safe, and professional environment throughout the guest experienceAnswer questions about products, the distillery, and surrounding areaWho You AreHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent requiredMinimum 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in hospitalityMust be willing to work nights and weekends, hours and schedule can fluctuate based on tours, events, etc.Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.Excellent oral communication skills with the ability to talk to others to convey information effectivelyA friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication and storytelling skillsA genuine passion for hospitality, customer service, and craft spiritsThe ability to lead and manage groups of varying sizesService Orientation actively looking for ways to help peopleAbility to work in a team and be a self-starterValued but not Required Skills and Experience:Familiarity and appreciation of distilled spiritsPhysical Demands: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
