Responsible Manager (Medical Cannabis Private Online Clinic focusing on Pain Management)

Job DescriptionResponsible ManagerPrivate Online Medical Cannabis ClinicGreen Barn Traders Ltd seeks an experienced Responsible Manager to operate a Private Online Pain Management and Medical Cannabis Clinic as part of a wider group licensed to supply Medical Cannabis to qualified UK Patients.The Job Description follows the standard CQC requirements for this role.Working closely with the Prescribing Consultant, the Responsible Manager will manage the licensing process and daily operations. This role is a Statutory requirement under the Health and Social Care Act 2008, in that the Manager shares legal responsibility for ensuring the service meets the fundamental standards of Safety, Effectiveness, Caring, Responsiveness and well-led care.Responsibilities and QualificationsRegulatory Compliance: Ensuring the service adheres to all CQC regulations, including managing statutory notifications for incidents such as deaths or safeguarding concerns, and maintaining comprehensive records to demonstrate compliance during inspections. Person-Centred Care: Overseeing the delivery of high-quality, individualized care plans that promote dignity, respect, and independence for service users, while actively involving them and their families in care decisions. Workforce Management: Leading recruitment, induction, training, and supervision of staff to ensure they are competent, motivated, and meet regulatory staffing levels; this includes managing rotas, performance appraisals, and disciplinary procedures. Safeguarding and Risk Management: Taking the lead role in protecting service users from harm, conducting risk assessments, managing medication safely, and ensuring health and safety standards are met across the premises. Financial and Operational Oversight: Managing the service budget, controlling expenditure, handling billing and invoicing, and ensuring the facility is adequately equipped and maintained to support care delivery.Management Qualification: Minimum standard of a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care, along with proven experience in care management. Proven ability to pass a ‘fit and proper person’ interview with the CQC, demonstrating they have the necessary qualifications, competence, skills, and physical/mental health to manage the regulated activity.ExperienceDeep experience of the daily operations of an online private pain management clinic is essential, including the processes of Managing Staff, Acquiring Patients, Regulatory Compliance and delivering a high quality Patient Treatment experience.Experience of Medical Cannabis operations in UK is highly desirable but not essential.Pragmatic Stakeholder Management of Doctors, Prescribing Consultants, Clinical Admin staff, Regulators and Patients.Understanding of the commercial drivers of profitability in the UK Medical Cannabis sector is advantageous.Understanding of the CQC licensing application process. Personal QualitiesAmbition to form part of a wider Group Management Team, supplying Medical Cannabis to UK Patients from import through manufacturing and distribution.Must be a ‘fit and proper’ person of good character to manage the regulated and commercial activities of the clinic.To discuss this role, please contact Toby Shillito on 07411188338 or tobyshillitouk@gmail.com.
