Geographic Information Systems Analyst
Note that you can choose either Fairbanks or Anchorage as your work station. The LI form doesn't accept two but we do!This is an exceptional opportunity to apply your GIS skills to the wild and open promises of firm geothermal power in Alaska. You can help to acquire, analyze, and make publicly available geoscience information relevant to geothermal development. Alaska is the true wild northwest with the most to offer in geothermal resources but least use among geothermally endowed states. Work with an adventurous and diverse group representing many areas of applied geosciences, for which we are the primary public source of Earth data for the state. In fact, Alaska is among the most tectonically and volcanically active places on the planet, with data being collected from satellites, aircraft, the surface, and below the surface, much of it pertaining to the quest for thermal energy. Both Fairbanks and Anchorage have vigorous universities and unusually spirited communities. Come be part of the future!Full information on the job and how to apply is here:https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/alaska/jobs/newprint/5210959
