Job Title: Technical Project Manager (Software & Robotics Programs)Location: North Reading, MAJob Type: Full-TimeJob Summary:We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager (TPM) to lead the execution of complex software and robotics programs. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering teams to drive roadmap execution, feature delivery, release planning, dependency management, risk mitigation, and program health tracking. This role requires a hands-on leader who can bring structure to complex initiatives, remove blockers, and ensure predictable delivery across multiple cross-functional teams.Key Responsibilities:Drive end-to-end execution of software projects from requirements gathering through release and post-launch supportDevelop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, and critical pathsPartner with software engineering teams to define requirements, acceptance criteria, delivery timelines, and prioritiesCoordinate feature delivery and roadmap execution across multiple engineering workstreamsManage release schedules, readiness reviews, launch activities, and follow-up actionsTrack project health through dashboards, KPIs, SLAs, risk registers, dependency trackers, and status reportsProvide regular updates to leadership on project progress, risks, mitigation plans, and key decisionsIdentify and proactively resolve project risks, blockers, and cross-team dependenciesFacilitate planning sessions, dependency reviews, risk assessments, and release readiness meetingsDrive accountability and alignment across software, firmware, systems, controls, QA, operations, and support teamsSupport technical discussions, delivery planning, estimation reviews, and execution trade-offsRequired Qualifications:3+ years of Technical Program/Project Management experience supporting software engineering teamsProven experience delivering software products, platforms, or technical programsStrong understanding of project management methodologies, including scope, schedule, risk, dependency, and stakeholder managementExperience coordinating cross-functional teams with complex technical dependenciesStrong communication, leadership reporting, and escalation management skillsAbility to work independently in fast-paced and ambiguous environmentsStrong ownership mindset with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilitiesPreferred Qualification:Experience in robotics, automation, autonomous systems, industrial automation, or embedded software environmentsFamiliarity with software development lifecycles, firmware, controls systems, simulation, perception, planning, or distributed systemsExperience managing release governance, launch readiness, incident management, and postmortem activitiesProven track record of recovering at-risk projects through effective planning and stakeholder alignmentHands-on experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, Asana, Aha!, Tableau, or similar platforms.
