Device User Testing Manager
Overview:
As Benchmarking and Certification Lead, you define and drive benchmarking for Pixel devices, shaping strategy and outlook with technical stakeholders, including executives. You oversee complex hardware and software topics and ensure testing scope, metrics, and reporting meet critical criteria. You lead the device user testing team and collaborate with cross-functional groups to advance carrier certification programs. This role offers impact by improving lab testing and certification processes for global carriers. Responsibilities:
- Define and implement benchmarking scope, testing, and reporting metrics
- Oversee benchmarking results for accuracy and completeness and ensure critical tests are conducted per criteria
- Manage and lead the device user testing team
- Coordinate with senior and technical stakeholders to align on requirements and schedules
- Support lab testing and carrier-specific testing, including industry certifications
Key requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience 8 years of benchmarking consumer electronics 8 years of experience in leading and managing teams
- Experience in system level cellular engineering
- Excellent communication of requirements, timelines, and critical path
- Cross-functional collaboration across disciplines
- Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese
- Cellular hardware and software knowledge
- Benchmarking methods and metrics
- Lab testing and certification processes (PTCRB/GCF)
