Sr. Network Engineer – Cisco, SDWAN, Data Center Networking (onsite)

3 Month Contract-to-Hire, possibly Direct HireSalary Conversion $120-145K, DOEArlington, TX100% onsite is required; NO remote optionsSUMMARY:Immediate need for a Senior Network Engineer with extremely strong Cisco and L2/L3 networking skills. Responsibilities include:Design and manage a Multi-Pod/Multi-Site Cisco ACI environment. Oversee the configuration of Tenants, VRFs, Bridge Domains, ESGs, EPGs, and ContractsSecurity & Segmentation: Architect and deploy segmentation strategies within the Data Center to prevent lateral movement of threats.Serve as the final point of escalation for complex network outages (L1–L7). Conduct deep-dive root cause analysis (RCA) using packet capture and advanced telemetry.Maintain computer networks including routers, switches, VPNs and other physical hardware/software.Create firewall rules and update software and data security systems to keep data and communications protected.Implement disaster recovery procedures.Improve knowledge and understanding of network and security best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems.Qualifications:8–10+ years in Enterprise Networking with strong L2/L3 networking skills3+ years of hands-on Cisco Networking, Nexus, Data Center Networking and SD-WAN production experienceCCIE (Data Center or Enterprise), CCNP (Data Center) or Cisco Certified Specialist in ACI/SD-WAN is highly preferred.Networking Protocols: Expert knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN, and MPLSSDN Tools: Deep familiarity with Cisco APIC, vManage, vSmart, and vBond controllersStrong experience with Cisco FirewallsAdvanced understanding of network services and networks protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, VRRP, VRF, VTP, DHCP, DNS, etc.Advanced understanding and practical knowledge of networking systems such as routers, switches and firewallsWorking knowledge with Cisco IOS and Nexus NX-OSAdvanced understanding of OSI model and troubleshooting of technology related issuesAbout PRGWith 20+ years of success in the staffing industry, Peyton Resource Group focuses on matching talent to the precise needs of our clients.
