Inside Sales Rep

Job Summary At AHP the Sales Specialist is a critical member of cross-functional teams which includes professionals from other involved disciplines such as planning and engineering. The Sales Specialist interacts directly with Outside Sales Reps, customers, and every internal department at AHP.This position requires extraordinary attention to detail, the ability to sort through often complex customer and production requirements, the ability to master a wide range of related technical knowledge, and a problem-solving mindset. Supervisory Responsibilities NonePrimary Responsibilities Work with outside sales reps, sales management, and directly with customers to understand all customer order requirements.Work independently to prepare/enter quotes and sales orders with near-zero error rates.Calculate sales prices, costs, potential profits, and identify areas of concern.Identify potential problems with customer inquiries and orders, and deal promptly and thoroughly with them.Work with other members of your cross-functional to ensure delivery of the correct product 100% of the time.Serve as a contact person for customer and management inquiries.Train, cross-train, and support new team members.  This position will require learning aspects of Stratix and company policies beyond order entry, encompassing aspects of production planning, quality and reporting. Common Expectations Bulletproof attendance, on-site, five days per weekA consistently professional attitude and high standards of communication internally and externallyThe ability to learn, unlearn, and relearn as the business evolves.The Sales Specialist must be able to master technical aspects of steel grades, their uses, and manufacturing processes.The ability to deal with a moderate level of complexity as our products are custom-made with many variables that must be accurately tracked.Prepare reports as directed by supervisors. Required Skills Consistently high levels of accuracy in data entry, approaching zero defects3-5 years of Excel preferred though comparable experience with business applications is acceptableExperience with any ERP or MRP system strongly preferred Job Qualifications and Experience A high school diploma is required.Additional training in drafting, manufacturing, sales, and/or computers is a strong plus2-3 years of relevant experience is common for this position.Candidates with less than 2-3 years of relevant experience can be considered if they can demonstrate key traits including attention to detail, a problem-solving mentality, reliability, and a willingness to take responsibility for getting their work done correctly every time. Physical Environment Candidates must be able to work in an office environment with high levels of interaction with other team members.The ability to lift 20 pounds, stand, work with a computer for extended periods, and interact with people in person and over the phone.The position will occasionally require you to walk the manufacturing floor, which is often loud, not temperature controlled, and can require up to 60 minutes of continuous movement.  Work ScheduleM-F 8:30-4:30 with flexibility as business demands
