Housekeeper

Works to ensure offices, guest rooms, facilities, and other specified areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition. Responsible for general cleaning and maintenance duties, which may include vacuuming, dusting, item washing, trash collecting and proper sorting.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESSweep, scrub, mop and/or polish floorsVacuum clean carpets and rugsShampoo carpetsDust and polish furnitureClean metal fixtures and fittingsEmpty and clean trash containers. Dispose of trash in a sanitary mannerClean wash basins, mirrors, and toilets. Wipe down all glass surfacesWash windows as scheduledOperate mechanized cleaning equipmentMaintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working conditionClean corridors, lobby, stairways, conference rooms as well as guest officesDistribute supplies using wheeled carts or by handRestock room supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, soaps, and sanitizersMonitor laundry bags and store all dirty laundry in line with company policyCheck all appliances in rooms are in working orderRespond to calls for housekeeping problems such as spills, broken glassesOrganize and restock cart at the end of the shiftFollow all company safety and security proceduresReport any maintenance issues or safety hazardsObserve and report damage of company propertyOther duties as assigned.EXPERIENCESome experience working in a manufacturing environment preferredEDUCATIONHigh school diploma or GED equivalentSPECIAL KNOWLEDGEKnowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and methods. Knowledge of cleaning sensitive materials.Working knowledge of operating cleaning equipment.Attention to detail, reliability, and planning and organization skillsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSPhysical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel, and bend. Ability to lift, push, and pull required load usually about 30 lbs.May work in various adverse conditions to complete assignments.
