Software Engineer

We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer to join our engineering team in Warner Robins, GA and contribute to the development of next-generation military avionics, mission computing systems, and aircraft modifications. This Software Engineer will design, develop, integrate, test, and maintain software supporting aerospace and defense platforms. This position works closely with electrical, systems, FPGA, and mechanical engineers throughout the entire product lifecycle—from concept and design through testing, production, and field support.
About the Role:
Design, develop, test, and maintain software for aerospace and defense applications
Develop software primarily in C and C++
Develop and maintain Linux-based embedded applications
Troubleshoot software and hardware integration issues
Participate in software architecture and system design activities
Develop automated test software and diagnostic utilities
Support integration and verification testing in laboratory and aircraft environments
Debug software using industry-standard development tools
Develop and maintain technical documentation, design artifacts, and test procedures
Support software configuration management and version control
Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and peer technical evaluations
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
Support customer demonstrations, technical meetings, and field activities as required
Required Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related technical field
Strong Linux operating system knowledge and experience
Experience programming in C and/or C++
Experience developing software in Linux environments
Strong understanding of software development principles
Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment
U.S. Citizenship
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Bash or Python scripting
Experience developing software for embedded processors
Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS)
Knowledge of network protocols and Ethernet communications
Experience with secure boot, firmware updates, or cybersecurity concepts
Experience with avionics or military systems
Familiarity with MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, ARINC-818, or similar aerospace interfaces
Experience with DO-178C software development processes
Experience working in defense or aerospace environments
Pay: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
