The IT Intern needs to be knowledgeable in all aspects of IT support, be diligent, analytical, and possess outstanding communication skills.This position is 100% in office.Duties And ResponsibilitiesAssist in the deployment of new hardware and software for computers Assist with IT support requests from users through IT Support Portal, phone calls, or in-person requests Follow setup and maintenance protocols to ensure systems are secure and ready for users Maintain and troubleshoot devices and systems from both a hardware and software perspective Maintain or develop professional and technical knowledge through workshops and training classes Perform post-resolution follow-ups for IT support related tickets Provide input and help evaluate vendor supplied software and test software compatibility with existing hardware and programs Provide setup and support for mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets QualificationsMinimum of one-year certificate from college or technical school, 1 to 3 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Proficient in Windows Office Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees Versatility and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENTFrequently required to stand, sit, walk, talk, and hear Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity, including calculating figures and amounts and use of a keyboard Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl Occasionally required to lift/push weights up to 50 pounds Specific vision abilities required for this job include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust or focus Exposure to moving mechanical parts The above is intended to describe the general content of, and requirements for, the performance of this job.
