Director of Point of Care and Outreach LaboratoriesMontefiore Medical Center is seeking an M.D. or M.D. / Ph.D. physician to join their team as Director of Point of Care and Outreach Laboratories for the Montefiore Health System. Candidates must be board certified in CP, have an established expertise in Clinical Pathology and experience in laboratory management. MDs with other board certifications and clinical laboratory experience will be considered. The director will have oversight and responsibility for all waived testing performed in the Montefiore network. Other responsibilities may include non-waived or moderately complex testing performed at satellite patient locations, active participation in hospital committees and resident and medical student teaching. This person will lead a dynamic point of care team consisting of a manager, multiple supervisors, and an administrative assistant. Additional responsibilities will be commensurate with training, experience, and academic interest, including participation in translational or clinical research. Applicants must possess or be eligible to obtain New York State Certificates of Qualification for Medical Directorship. Academic appointment to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine is commensurate with credentials and experience.Montefiore Medical Center is a university-affiliated health care system serving the Bronx and Westchester County.
