Trinity Prep?s studentbody and families reflect the world as they travel from the greater Orlandoarea and across the nation to take part in the Trinity experience.�A full-time faculty position at Trinity Prepconsists of serving as an advisor, teaching 5 classes, and assuming additionalduties as assigned. For example, all faculty are required to have a plus oneresponsibility.Position Summary:�Trinity Prep seeks an individual who willprotect people on campus and guard school property against fire, theft, vandalism,and illegal entry by performing the designated duties and responsibilitiesMonday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. This position will remain open until filled.�Trinity Prep?s Security Guards will exemplifyTrinity Prep?s four Core Competencies that apply to all employees of the organization:�DemonstratesSelf-AwarenessEnsures AccountabilityCommunicates EffectivelyCultivates InnovationDuties And ResponsibilitiesPatrols, periodically, buildings and grounds of school property.Examines doors, windows, and gates to determine that they aresecure.Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking,or carrying forbidden articles, and apprehend or expel persons engaging insuspicious or criminal acts.Inspects equipment and machinery to ascertain if tampering hasoccurred.Watches for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards,leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked.Call the police or fire department by telephone in case of fireor presence of unauthorized persons.Permits authorized persons to enter property upon review ofproper identification and verification through background verificationsoftware..Monitors security camera when in the Security office.Records data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioningof machinery or equipment, for use of supervisory staff.Regulates vehicle and pedestrian traffic at the main entrance tomaintain orderly flow.Writes security reports.Must be able to work some holidays, after hours events andoccasional weekends.Other duties may be assigned.Qualificationsand Experience:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one tothree years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination ofeducation and experience.Promotes an inclusive environment that values, encourages, andsupports differences, and articulates an authentic commitment to diversity inthought and perspective while holding others accountable for the same.Proven success working collaboratively with other members of thesecurity department and school personnel.LanguageSkills�Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, shortcorrespondence, and memos.� Ability to write simple correspondence.�Proficiency in the English language is required.ReasoningAbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry outdetailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.�Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variablesin standardized situations.ComputerSkills �Basic skills with word processing software and email.Certificates,Licenses, RegistrationsClass D Security License requiredCPR certification can be gained upon hiringOther Qualifications�Must be able to pass a Jessica Lunsford Level II backgroundcheck and drug test.Must be able to work around children.PhysicalDemands��While performing the duties of this position, the employees are regularlyrequired to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach withhands and arms and talk or hear.
