We are seeking a skilled .NET / AWS Modernization Engineer to support application modernization initiatives for a banking client. The role involves upgrading legacy .NET applications to modern architectures on AWS, including refactoring, containerization, and deployment using cloud-native and DevOps practices.Key Responsibilities· Modernize legacy applications by upgrading from .NET Framework to .NET Core / ASP.NET Core· Analyze and refactor existing codebase, including dependency analysis and library replacement· Design and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS· Develop and deploy applications using containerization (Docker)· Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, AWS tools)· Work with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for deployment automation· Ensure secure application deployment using AWS IAM and best practices· Perform regression testing and API contract testing to validate application behavior· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless migration and modernizationRequired Skills & Qualifications· Strong experience in .NET Core, ASP.NET Core development· Proven experience in modernizing legacy .NET applications· Deep understanding of .NET libraries, dependencies, and refactoring strategies· Hands-on experience with AWS services and deployment models· Experience with Terraform (IaC) and AWS IAM· Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred)· Experience with Docker and container orchestration on AWS· Solid understanding of API design and integration· Experience in testing frameworks, regression testing, and API contract validationPreferred Qualifications· Experience with microservices architecture· Familiarity with Kubernetes (EKS) or container orchestration tools· AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Developer or Solutions Architect)· Exposure to banking or financial services domainSoft Skills· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills· Effective communication and stakeholder collaboration· Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment
