Electrical Estimator
Position SummaryThe Electrical Estimator reports to the Team Leader and is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical construction projects. This role evaluates labor, materials, subcontractor, and equipment costs for commercial and industrial projects, including low‑voltage and fire alarm systems.ResponsibilitiesPrepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and buyouts for electrical construction projects Review plans, specifications, drawings, and bid documents to define scope and estimate requirements Perform quantity takeoffs and develop conceptual, budgetary, and detailed estimates Analyze cost risks such as logistics, schedule impacts, weather, and waste disposal Participate in job walks, bid presentations, and preparation of client qualification submittals Maintain vendor, subcontractor, and supplier relationships to support competitive pricing Collaborate with management by providing estimates for planning, scheduling, and decision‑making Ensure accurate data entry, documentation, and timely submission of bids Qualifications & Skills5+ years estimating electrical commercial construction projects required Programs experience preferred: Procore Trimble Accubid Bluebeam Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently as well as in team environment Ability to present in a professional manner and represent the company image WORK ENVIRONMENTWork is performed primarily in an office environment. Office work requires sitting for periods of time and use of a computer keyboard and screen.
