Family Practice - Without OB Physician

The organization is committed to supporting veterans through thorough medical evaluations in a professional environment.Opportunity:Board Certified - General MedicineJob Details:• Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for veterans• Current opening in Fort Polk, LA - 2 days per week needed (20 mile radius preferred)• Option to work half days (4-hours) and/or full days (8-hours) on a PRN basis• One-time non-treatment CP exams and separation health assessments• Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment including range of motion testing and muscle strength testing• No prescribing or treatment required• Quick credentialing and onboarding process• Acceptable specialties include family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or anyone with background in general medicine or experience with compensation and pension• Must be proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions• Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products)• Requires active AANP certification• Must maintain active and unrestricted full license in Louisiana• Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified• Local candidates only (travel included in rates)• Follow-up administrative work required (addendums, medical opinions, and reading diagnostics)• Must not be active military duty, in the reserves, or actively employed at the VACompensation:Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
