Technical Documentation Control Analyst IPortland, OR SHIFT: Start time is no later than 8:30 and then working 8 hours. Can expect to wrap up between 3-5. Working with multiple time zones, Start and end time is flexible 1 remote day, 4 days in the office Contract: 1-year (Could convert to FTE for the right person) SummaryThe Technical Documentation Control Analyst I ensures data integrity on Aftermarket data for service parts catalog and downstream systems in collaboration with DTNA Aftermarket and Engineering departments. This position will have ability to serve as data steward in our department and be the liaison between DTNA internal and external customers. Responsibilities:Primary point of responsibility, accountability and activity for the assessment, improvement and governance of quality and ongoing fitness-for-purpose of an organization's critical data assetsData stewards are not owners of the data but rather serve as trustees to ensure adequate data quality is maintained so that data can effectively support business processesEngages with business leadership to quantify and articulate the business impact of data quality issuesAssesses the current state of data quality within their scope of responsibilityEstablishes target goals for data quality improvement and identifies optimal approaches for resolving data quality issues to achieve targetsWorks within and beyond area of control to implement improvement approachesIdentifies data quality metrics and executes data quality audits to benchmark the state of data qualityDevelops, monitors, tracks and reports ongoing data quality levelAbility for career growth experience Knowledge You Should BringBS/BA or 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of degreeIMS ExperienceExcelerator TOP 3 Must Have'sProficiency in Client Excel, including filters, VLOOKUPs, and pivot tables (macros preferred but not required).Strong attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with automotive or truck parts, whether from a dealership, parts retailer, or comparable environment. ExperienceA Bachelor's or Associate's degree is preferred; candidates with two or more years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. SAP knowledge is required - experience with Paragon or other SAP derivative systems is a plus. Prior DTNA experience is preferred but not required.Strong proficiency in Client Excel is essential, including filters, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and ideally macros. The team also works regularly in PowerPoint. Candidates must be comfortable working at a desktop workstation with a mouse - this role involves detailed, precision-oriented data work.Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with automotive or truck parts - whether from a dealership, parts retailer, or similar environment - is highly valuable and will set candidates apart. The ability to multitask and reprioritize quickly is critical, particularly when urgent situations arise. Above all, the manager is looking for someone who takes genuine pride in the quality of their work and is motivated to build a long-term presence in the role.Candidates should be self-motivated, self-directed, and comfortable operating with a high degree of independence while also collaborating effectively across teams.
