Sr.Confluent Cloud Kafka Developer

Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced Confluent Cloud Kafka Developer to design, develop, and manage scalable, real-time streaming solutions using Apache Kafka on Confluent Cloud. The role will work with data engineering teams to architect streaming pipelines, integrate diverse data sources, and optimize Kafka for high-performance applications, with strong expertise in Apache Kafka, Confluent Cloud, distributed streaming platforms, and real-time integrations.Key Responsibilities:Develop and manage streaming data pipelines using Confluent Kafka and Apache Flink.Integrate streaming solutions with AWS and Snowflake and maintain real-time pipelines with high data quality, integrity, and reliability.Use Terraform for infrastructure/code deployment automation on AWS or other cloud environments.Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Kafka clusters and related infrastructure.Collaborate with development, DevOps, data science, and data engineering teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions.Provide Kafka support, troubleshooting, and best-practice guidance to teams.Monitor and optimize streaming technologies and recommend improvements based on the latest Kafka/streaming capabilities.Required Qualifications:3+ years software development experience focused on Apache Kafka and distributed systems.2+ years Python experience building Kafka applications.Proven Confluent Kafka + Schema Registry experience.Experience with IaC/Terraform and hands-on AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, and Lambda.Strong understanding of data integration, ETL, and data pipeline orchestration.Experience with operational monitoring and streaming pipeline performance optimization.Ability to troubleshoot complex Kafka ecosystem issues.Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, attention to detail, excellent verbal/written communication, and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.Preferred Qualifications:2+ years Confluent Cloud experience implementing Kafka solutions.Proficiency with Apache Flink, ksqlDB, and Kafka Connect for real-time processing/integration.Working knowledge of Snowflake for cloud data warehousing and analytics.Strong Java programming skills for scalable, event-driven applications.Experience with other data streaming tools/platforms.Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes for modern cloud-native applications.AWS, Apache Kafka, or related cloud/data streaming certifications are highly desirable.
