This opportunity is ideal for clinicians who value collaboration, evidence-based care, and meaningful community impact.Available Positions & Salary RangesNurse Practitioner (NP): $114,467 $154,868.20 annuallyPhysician Assistant (PA): $114,467 $154,868.20 annuallyPediatrician: $190,000 $257,058.82 annuallyPhysician (Family Practice or Internal Medicine): $190,000 $257,058.82 annuallyQualificationsCurrent MD, DO, NP, or PA credentialsSpecialty training or experience in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Pediatrics, and/or Women's Health preferredEligible for credentialing in the State of Hawai?iExperience working in a community health center or with underserved, low-income, and culturally diverse populations is highly desirablePosition SummaryUnder the general direction of the Vice President of Medical Services, the Medical Provider delivers comprehensive primary care services using current clinical guidelines and evidence-based medicine. Providers play a vital role in patient education, disease prevention, and health advocacy while working within an integrated care team model.Clinical ResponsibilitiesDeliver a full scope of primary care services, including assessments, diagnoses, treatment planning, prescribing, and patient educationManage acute illnesses, chronic conditions, and preventive health care across the lifespanProvide age- and life-cycle appropriate careRefer patients to specialists when care is beyond scopeParticipate actively in an interdisciplinary, patient-centered care teamProvide timely phone advice and follow-up per clinic protocolsSupervise medical students, residents, or other health professional learners as appropriateMaintain accurate, timely documentation in the EHR system (within 48 hours, preferably same day)Please Note: This position does not include inpatient coverage, admitting privileges, or obstetrical deliveries.Quality & Team EngagementParticipate in quality improvement, peer review, case reviews, and performance initiativesSupport health education programs and preventive care protocolsAdvocate for patient needs and coordinate care across servicesAttend provider, leadership, and all-staff meetings as requiredCompliance & Professional StandardsMaintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentialityStay current with clinical guidelines, continuing education, and medical literatureMaintain all licensure, board certification, and required trainingComply with grant-related program requirements (e.g., Family Planning, BCCCP)Follow clinic safety, infection control, emergency, and disaster preparedness protocolsKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong clinical judgment and analytical skillsExcellent communication and organization skillsAbility to work compassionately and non-judgmentally with diverse populationsWorking knowledge of EHR systems and Microsoft OfficeCultural sensitivity and willingness to serve a multilingual patient populationWork Environment & ScheduleEight- or ten-hour workdays, scheduled based on operational needsClinic-based work environmentExposure to infectious diseases inherent in clinical careThis is an exempt position under FLSAPersonal Characteristics We ValueTeam-oriented and collaborativeSelf-motivated and able to work with minimal supervisionHigh integrity and professionalismOrganized, adaptable, and respectful of diverse communitiesOur CommitmentAt HICHC, we are committed to fostering a supportive workplace where providers can thrive while delivering high-quality, compassionate care to the communities we serve.
