Facilitator

Seeking a Facilitation Consultant to facilitate and lead a panel every other month with representatives of disadvantaged communities throughout Southern California. This will be three days of work per month that includes two days of prep work. You will become proficient in the client’s program and projects to lead conversations and communicate them adequately to the panel in such a way that the panel can then engage the relevant communities to support the project. You will be working with panel members and with project management organizations. The advisory panel will inform client about community interests, engage communities and gain their support, and improve outcomes when attempting to place projects in such communities. Pay: $40.15/hour W2 Start: ASAP Duration: 24 hours per month for one year Location: Westminster, CA. Work will be based out of Westminster, but vast majority of work will be done remotely or off premises. Panel meetings will be in rotating meeting locations in Southern California (within San Bernadino county, Ventura county, Kern county, Los Angeles county and Tulare county) Requirements: Working knowledge of grid technology 3 years of facilitation experience Experience working with community based organizations on engagement efforts, facilitating discussions with organizations and driving these groups to desired actions. 5-8 years of experience developing communication material and strategies. Ability to develop written or graphic communication materials for print, electronic media, and or Web. Ability to learn subjects quickly and communicate effectively Experience leading panels of community-based organizations is a nice to have.
