Civil Engineer

Job Description Description: Columbia Engineering is actively seeking a talented Civil Engineer. You will work with a team of engineers to perform work on various projects.Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:Preparing construction plans for projects involving storm pipe, culverts, water and sewer lines, spillways, and moreGrading, drainage calculations, hydrologic and hydraulic modelingCreating roadway drainage plansSite layout, plan development, grading, details, and erosion control design for parksRequirements: Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering TechnologyComputer knowledge/experience with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)Experience with the following software:Autodesk Civil 3DArcMap or other GIS softwareSWMM based modelsMicrostation/Inroads/OpenroadsSkills, Knowledge, and Abilities:Working in a team environment to complete projects in budget and on scheduleKnowledge of applicable health and safety and environmental requirementsCan perform critical thinking tasks accurately and efficientlyBalance multiple project workloads and deadlines (time management skills)Willingness to work collaboratively as a valued member of the team to serve our clients both internal and externalAbility to work semi- autonomously/remotely and still be productiveColumbia Offers:Health, Dental, and Vision InsurancePaid Time Off401(k) Retirement PlanWe offer employees the option of a hybrid schedule with a work week that includes both office and work from home daysAbout us:Columbia is a Georgia small business consulting firm headquartered in Duluth, Georgia with offices in Florida.
