Wherever you drive throughout Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire, there's a good chance you will travel down a road or over a bridge built by SPS New England.Position DescriptionJob Overview:Job Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Construction Quality Control Engineer to join our growing Quality department. This entry- to mid-level position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to advance their career while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety on construction projects. The successful candidate will assist with planning and execution of quality control activities to ensure that construction meets or exceeds specified quality requirements, including: work planning; workmanship and materials monitoring, testing, and inspection; 3 rd -party QC oversight; and non-conformance identification, documentation, and corrective action planning and implementation.Key Responsibilities:Perform routine quality control inspections of materials, workmanship, and finished products.Monitor construction processes to ensure adherence to project specifications, plans, and applicable standards.Administer or oversee on-site material tests (e.g., concrete, soil, asphalt, etc.) and verify that materials meet required quality and safety standards.Identify and report deficiencies or discrepancies in construction processes and aid in planning and implementing corrective actions.Assist in the preparation of quality control documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and compliance records.Maintain accurate records of quality control inspections and tests performed, as well as any corrective actions taken.Collaborate with QC managers, project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure quality standards are met and issues are addressed promptly.Participate in the development and improvement of quality control procedures and practices on a project- and company-wide level.Assist with conducting audits and inspections during different stages of construction (e.g., pre-construction, during construction, and final inspections).Salary/Pay Range: $65,000-$120,000 Dependent upon experienceESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan):SPS is an employee-owned company.
