The organization is investing heavily in fresh food expansion and is looking for someone who can help shape the future of a complex, high-volume perishable category business across thousands of locations nationwide.The ideal candidate is both analytical and entrepreneurial — someone who understands core category management fundamentals but also enjoys operating in an environment where innovation, speed, and new thinking are encouraged.What You’ll DoDevelop and execute category growth strategies for a large-scale fresh/perishable businessDrive assortment, pricing, promotional, and merchandising strategiesPartner closely with suppliers, operations, and cross-functional leadership teamsAnalyze trends, customer behavior, and market opportunities to drive category performanceHelp establish and reinforce best-in-class category management processes and principlesSupport innovation initiatives and identify opportunities for operational and assortment improvementsLead and develop talent within the category management organizationManage a complex supply chain involving both internally produced and externally sourced productsWhat We’re Looking ForStrong category management experience within retail, grocery, convenience, foodservice, or related industriesExperience supporting fresh, perishable, or food-related categories strongly preferredBakery category experience is highly valued, though broader perishables experience may also be consideredStrong analytical, vendor management, and merchandising strategy capabilitiesAbility to influence cross-functional teams and operate in a fast-paced environmentEntrepreneurial mindset with a passion for growth and innovationLeadership potential with the ability to build and mentor teamsDirector-level experience is not required; strong category managers ready for the next step are encouraged to apply
