Sr Business Analyst / Scheduler (Washington)

Position SummaryKamis is seeking a Senior Consultant with expertise in project scheduling, business analysis and project management to support a federal PMO. This role manages and integrates schedules across a large research portfolio, while also contributing to strategic planning, process improvement, and user testing for a web-based portfolio management system.Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain an integrated master schedule across 200+ active research projects.- Monitor project timelines and milestones; provide scheduling support to program managers and stakeholders.- Identify and communicate risks, issues, and schedule conflicts.- Support business process improvement and organizational strategy initiatives.- Generate reports and dashboards (e.g., activity, milestone, exception reports).- Conduct ad hoc analyses and produce status updates as needed.- Participate in user acceptance testing for PMO tools, including test case creation and execution.- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve scheduling challenges.- Assist with project documentation, including updates to the Project Management Plan.- Support quarterly reviews and leadership meetings.Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field.- At least 5 years of experience in project scheduling and business analysis within R&D environments.- Proven ability to manage and consolidate 200+ project schedules into a master plan.- Proficiency with Microsoft Project and other scheduling tools.- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.- Experience working within a federal PMO environment.- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting and collaborate effectively.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.- Eligibility for a Public Trust clearance and authorization to work in the U.S.- Must be able to work onsite in SE Washington, D.C.Preferred Skills- Experience creating dashboards using portfolio management tools.- Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM).- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.- Experience with federal research portfolios, such as transportation programs.
