The Palace Care Center - Speech‐Language Pathologist (SLP)Job Description – Healthcare FacilityPosition Summary The Speech‐Language Pathologist (SLP) provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients with speech, language, cognitive‐communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders within a healthcare setting. This role ensures the delivery of evidence‐based, patient‐centered care in compliance with facility policies, professional standards, and regulatory guidelines.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, cognitive‐communication, and swallowing functionDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient needsProvide direct therapy services to patients across acute, subacute, outpatient, or long‐term care settingsDocument assessments, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with facility and regulatory requirementsCollaborate with physicians, nurses, rehabilitation staff, and other interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated patient careEducate patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment goals, strategies, and home programsParticipate in quality improvement initiatives, staff meetings, and continuing education activitiesMaintain compliance with ethical standards, HIPAA regulations, and state/federal guidelinesQualificationsMaster's degree in Speech‐Language Pathology from an accredited programCurrent state licensure or eligibility for licensureCertificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‐SLP) from ASHA preferredPrevious experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting preferredStrong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skillsAbility to work effectively within a multidisciplinary teamWork Environment & ScheduleFull‐time, part‐time, or per‐diem opportunities may be availableMay include inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation settingsSchedule may require flexibility based on patient needs and facility operations
