We are seeking a Gastroenterologist Physician for a 120-day assignment in Kentucky, starting Jun 1, 2026. Our client is looking for a professional to provide M-F clinic coverage from 8am to 4:30pm, complemented by weeknight call from 4:30pm to 8am. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including various upper and lower GI endoscopic procedures, biopsies, and foreign body removal to ensure comprehensive patient care.Responsibilities and DutiesPerform Upper GI endoscopy, including biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder (cautery versus laser), and injection of varices.Conduct Small Bowel biopsy.Execute Lower GI endoscopy, including flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy.Perform Colonoscopy with biopsy and excision of polyp.Conduct Liver biopsy.ERCP and EUS skills are preferred but not required.Additional InformationBoard Certification in Gastroenterology is required.Experience with Meditech EHR system.BenefitsStrong compensationTravel-related expenses coveredA-rated medical malpractice insurance providedDedicated recruiter for future travel opportunitiesWhat are Locum Tenens Jobs?Locum tenens jobs, sometimes referred to as travel assignments, are contract positions that help meet patient care needs at various healthcare facilities and hospitals for a defined period.
