2nd Shift Truss Assembler
Truss AssemblerThe Truss Assembler is responsible for assembling wood trusses and structural building components according to work orders, specifications, and production schedules. This role supports manufacturing operations by preparing materials, measuring and fastening components, and ensuring finished products meet quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.Responsibilities:Assemble wood trusses and structural components according to work orders, layouts, and specificationsRead and interpret production paperwork, blueprints, and measuring tools to ensure accuracyMeasure, mark, position, and fasten materials using hand and power toolsInspect materials and completed products to ensure quality and compliance with specificationsIdentify and remove damaged or non-conforming materialsSet up workstations, tools, and materials for production runsMove completed products to staging or designated production areasPerform quality checks and support changeovers as needed during productionMaintain awareness of production schedules and workflow prioritiesFollow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and operational proceduresInspect tools and equipment before use and report any safety or maintenance concernsOperate equipment and machinery safely and responsiblyMaintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work areaWork closely with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goalsCommunicate production issues, material shortages, or quality concerns promptlySupport continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiativesPerform additional duties as assignedQualifications:Experience in truss manufacturing, carpentry, construction, or production environmentsFamiliarity with blueprints, work orders, or technical drawingsForklift certification or ability to obtain certificationExperience operating production equipment or pneumatic toolsAbility to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shiftAbility to lift and carry materials (up to 50 lbs regularly, more with assistance as needed)May require overtime, weekends, or extended hours based on production schedulesBenefits:Health Care BenefitsPaid Time OffQXO is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
