ASU Regional Operations Manager - San Antonio, TX

The Regional ASU Operations Manager has overall responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of all facilities used in the production of medical cryogenic liquids and industrial pipeline gases on a Regional basis These duties include quality control, personnel staffing and training issues; safety, health and environmental regulatory compliance; process optimization, equipment maintenance and supervision of operating and capital expenditures. The Regional Operations Manager reports to the Zone Director Bulk Production.Essential FunctionAchievement of all safety, production, efficiency, quality and budgetary targets for the RegionSupervising the recruiting and hiring of Managers and technicians within the RegionSupport of local personnel during all planned and unplanned plant outagesSupport Plant Managers with the implementation and execution of all Department InitiativesCoordination of all plant maintenance activities within the regionCoordination of production scheduling with Product Management and Logistics DepartmentsSupport of the Sales TeamQualify and supervise vendors and contractorsAssist department head with data and budgetary preparations and presentations.Fill in for a Plant Manager as may be required during his or her absence.Willingness to be "on call " 24/7 for plant needs of any kind, (personnel, equipment, customer problems)Complete knowledge of all MTG safety, compliance and quality policies.Complete knowledge of all MTG personnel policies as they relate to ASU'sComplete knowledge of all in-region pipeline contracts and obligationsPerforms other duties as assignedComplies with all policies and standardsQUALIFICATIONSEducation and ExperienceBachelor's Degree in engineering or equivalent industry experience with a minimum of 5 years specific management experience in the production of medical and industrial atmospheric gases.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesExperience interacting with Federal, State, and local regulatory agencies (FDA, EPA, OSHA, DHS.
