Other Duties May Be AssignedTestingUnder the direction of the Quality Control Test Technician, conduct testing on all equipment/product; ensures quality standards are met in accordance with applicable customer, company and business/industry standards Review /compare work from technical assembly prints to wire and install electrical components, switch gears, electrical switches and electronic instruments and devices, such as programmable process controllers (PLCs), data loggers, relays, breakers and other electronic instrumentation equipment used in the manufacture and repair of electrical power stations and equipment to determine quality and reliability standards are met. Performs testing on assigned projects/products such as l transformers, power centers, repaired equipment, any other equipment that requires testingRecords test data Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards Assists in performing final electrical inspection of equipment prior to shipment May work directly with customers in final testing of equipment May assist in other departments as needed Tools and EquipmentVarious hand tools – wire strippers, crimpers, drill, and razor knife High voltage test equipment/impulse generator Multimeters, Volt-Ohm meters, Hi-pot Use overhead crane, forklift, hoists, to assist in electrical assembly and moving materials/projects Properly care for and maintain tools in good operating condition; ensure tools and equipment is properly stored at the end of each shift Other Essential Duties Maintains regular and consistent job attendance, comes to work on time Follows and complies with IE Core Values Follow and comply with IE safety program. Must maintain a safe and clean work area at all times Complies with OSHA Arc Flash safety standards, always wears appropriate PPE INTERMOUNTAIN ELECTRONICS, INC.JD Date of Release 6/26/2019 Rev 4RequirementsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities HS Diploma plus three years related experience working and testing high voltage electrical distribution equipment or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and understand wiring schematics and layout diagrams Experience with various hand tools, crimpers, wire strippers, electrical testing equipment Self-motivated and capable of working in a team environment with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to work safely with medium to high voltage testing equipment and three phase power. Demonstrated proficiency to achieve high quality test results Attention to detail Good understanding of electrical troubleshooting/diagnostic procedures Must be able to read and interpret test data, schematics, electrical diagrams Requires strong interpersonal/customer skills Requires good computer skills in setting up and testing equipment Must strictly follow electrical safety program using OSHA/UL/MSHA guidelines Must wear protective PPE and take all necessary safety precautionsWork Schedule: Must be able to work a 40-hour work week and additional time as required.Disclaimer: An offer of employment with Intermountain Electronics is conditional upon the successful completion of a background check and drug screen, subject to applicable laws and regulations.Intermountain Electronics, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer
