Our founders have experience coming from both sides of the problem: from overseeing the finance org at Rubrik, to building month-end close systems at companies like Twitter and Netflix.We recently raised our $41M seed + series A funding, from top tier investors like Redpoint Ventures and Kleiner Perkins and are backed by finance leaders at companies such as Rippling, OpenAI, and Ramp.The roleWe are hiring a Content Marketing Manager to build Maxima’s content function from zero and scale it into a durable growth engine. This is a hands-on, builder-operator role. You will set the strategy, do the writing, build the system behind it, and measure what matters. We are looking for someone who can combine editorial judgment, SEO depth, AI-native execution, and strong operator instincts.Our audience is controllers and senior accounting leaders at mid-market and enterprise companies. They are pressed for time, allergic to hype, responsible for some of the highest-stakes workflows in the business, and as such, we we want to have our content strategy and production reflect that.What you'll doOwn Maxima’s content engine across formats and channels: long-form blog posts, thought leadership articles, ebooks, whitepapers, SEO guides, landing pages, newslettersBuild SEO strategy end to end, including site architecture, crawlability, schema, internal linking, keyword research, long-tail ranking, backlink acquisition, and LLM-friendly formattingMonitor and improve Maxima’s visibility across AI answer engines including ChatGPT, Claude, and Google AI OverviewsComfort writing about complex topics and workflows for a senior enterprise audience in a clear, authoritative, credible wayBuild a repeatable content production system with strong briefs, editorial workflows, repurposing pipelines, and distribution processesOwn the Maxima newsletter, including strategy, writing, cadence, and growthTest new formats and channels including, video, and interactive tools with a bias toward fast experimentationPartner closely with demand generation and product marketing to ensure content supports pipeline across campaignsAbout you3–5 years of content marketing experience in B2B SaaSStrong ownership of SEO and a track record of driving organic growthExceptional writer with strong editorial judgment and clarity of thoughtComfortable setting strategy and executing independentlyDeep understanding of SEO fundamentals (technical, on-page, and off-page)Working knowledge of how AI answer engines surface and cite contentAI-native in your workflow (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.)Able to build systems and use AI as a force multiplier without losing voiceHigh velocity and strong judgment — you ship, learn, and iterate quicklyOrganized and self-directed in an early-stage environmentMust-havesExperience at an early- to growth-stage startup (not just executing against an established playbook)Experience building content strategy, roadmaps, and editorial systemsStrong understanding of content distribution, repurposing, and socialHigh quality bar and strong taste levelExperience using modern tools and AI for content creationStrong plusBackground in accounting, finance, fintech, or close-adjacent softwareExperience writing about close workflows, reconciliation, or financial operationsFamiliarity with Claude Code or similar AI toolingExperience with Framer, Ahrefs, HubSpot, or similar toolsExperience growing a B2B newsletterExperience running integrated content campaignsExperience with video contentWhy this role mattersContent is one of the clearest ways Maxima earns trust in a skeptical category.
