This role will focus heavily on Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics, and Microsoft Fabric, with a critical emphasis on Master Data Management (MDM), particularly Reltio.The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience building enterprise-grade data pipelines, integrating complex data sources, and ensuring high data quality and governance across analytical and operational systems.This position will be able to work remotely from anywhere in the United States but the ability to work East Coast hours is strongly preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesData Integration & ETL DevelopmentDesign, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric Data PipelinesBuild scalable data ingestion frameworks for structured and semi-structured data (SQL, APIs, flat files, streaming sources)Develop transformations using Synapse SQL, Spark (Synapse/Fabric), or Dataflows Gen2Optimize pipeline performance, reliability, and cost efficiencyAzure Data Platform EngineeringDevelop and manage solutions leveraging:Azure Synapse Analytics (dedicated & serverless pools)Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Engineering experiences)Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2Implement medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold layers) where applicableCollaborate with architects to design scalable data platform solutionsMaster Data Management (MDM) – ReltioDesign and implement MDM integration workflows with ReltioBuild and maintain pipelines to ingest, synchronize, and publish master dataWork with business and data governance teams on:Data quality rulesMatching and survivorship logicGolden record managementIntegrate Reltio with downstream analytics and operational systemsData Quality & GovernanceImplement data validation, cleansing, and lineage trackingEnsure compliance with governance policies and standardsSupport auditing, monitoring, and alerting for data pipelinesCollaboration & DeliveryWork closely with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholdersParticipate in Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban)Mentor junior developersContribute to coding standards and best practicesOn-Call SupportParticipate in a rotating on-call support schedule for production data pipelines and platformsOn-call coverage begins as early as 5:30 AM and includes weekend support as neededEach rotation lasts two weeks, approximately four times per yearTroubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operationsPerform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes for recurring issuesRequired QualificationsExperienceBachelor's degree or equivalent experience5–8+ years of experience in ETL/data engineeringTechnical SkillsStrong expertise in:Azure Data Factory (ADF) – pipelines, triggers, integration runtimesAzure Synapse Analytics – SQL, Spark, pipeline orchestrationMicrosoft Fabric (preferred or emerging experience)Solid experience with:SQL (advanced query tuning and development)Python and/or PySparkREST APIs and data integration patternsHands-on experience with Reltio MDM including:Data model configurationMatch & merge rulesData onboarding and outbound integrationsData Engineering ConceptsETL/ELT design patternsData warehousing and dimensional modeling (Kimball, Data Vault familiarity a plus)Data lake architecturesPerformance tuning and scalingPreferred QualificationsExperience with:Delta Lake / Lakehouse architectureCI/CD for data pipelines (Azure DevOps, Git integration)Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform)Data governance tools (Purview or similar)Certifications (nice to have):Azure Data Engineer AssociateFabric Analytics Engineer (emerging)
