Surgery - Cardiovascular Physician Assistant

We have an immediate need for a locum contract cardiothoracic physician assistant in Upstate New York! Work 24 hour shifts and/or 4 10s per week! Excellent Scheduling Options! This one is going to go quick! Candidate must have extensive cardiac surgery physician assistant experience including proficiency in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting! The role is a full continuum of care position with ample OR time, ICU, Pre and Post Operative Care. Position Highlights Must be BC/BE with NYS LicenseEPIC EMR1:5 to 1:6 Call schedule for 24/7 in house coverageEndoscopic Vein and Artery HarvestingOR first and second assistingSome outpatient clinic responsibilityHistory and physical examsRounding on floor and ICU patientscensus managementWeeknight/weekend call coverage (floor calls and emergency surgical procedures)Inpatient consultsBedside procedures (thoracentesis, central/arterial line placement, chest tube insertion/removal, etc.)Supportive and congenial working environment Minimum Qualifications Licensed or eligible to practice in the state of New York1 - 2+ years of Surgical and/or Cardiac experience.BLS certification required.Experience required in Endoscopic Vein Be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant programNCCPA certification
