About Circus Juventas Circus Juventas is a nonprofit youth circus arts organization located in St. Paul, Minnesota. The Development Events Intern supports major fundraising and patron experiences, including the Big Top Ball and Blaze Balcony, while gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit development, events, and communications. This is an ideal opportunity for students interested in arts administration, nonprofit fundraising, event planning, or marketing/communications.This position reports to the Development Director and works closely with the Development and Volunteer Coordinator, gaining direct mentorship and cross-functional experience.What You’ll DoSupport Big Top Ball planning and execution, with a focus on silent auction coordination (donor follow-up, item tracking, data entry, and procurement support)Assist with pickup and transportation of auction items as neededTake notes and track action items during event planning meetingsCoordinate information across internal teams and external partnersAssist with Development and Communications content, including social media coordination and e-newsletter supportProduce and organize donor thank-you lettersSupport the Blaze Balcony patron experience during summer performances (Thursday–Sunday evenings)Provide general administrative and project support as neededWhat We’re Looking ForInterest in nonprofit development, fundraising, events, or communicationsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailClear and professional written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesComfortable working both independently and as part of a teamAvailability for evening shifts during summer performances (Thursday–Sunday)Must be 21 years of age or olderMust have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local item pickupPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry items up to approximately 25 lbsAbility to stand and move for extended periods during eventsAbility to travel locally for donation pickup and event supportWhat You’ll GainDirect, hands-on experience supporting a large-scale fundraising eventExposure to donor relations, stewardship, and nonprofit communicationsPractical skills in event logistics, coordination, and project managementInsight into how performing arts organizations generate revenue and engage their communityHow to ApplyEmail cover letter and resume to hr@circusjuventas.org by May 22, 2026.Equal Opportunity EmployerCircus Juventas is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and interns.
