Projects are typically shorter-term, less complex and more contained with a defined time frame. Programs are typically longer-term, multi-functional, multi-project with complex requirements and effort. Manage activities, resource capability, schedules, budgets, and ensure cross company communications to facilitate product completion on schedule within budget. Work with engineering management to identify and improve process and program efficiencies. Work can involve external parties such as standards bodies, partners, etc.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate multiple projects within a large scale program, drive the engineering development, implementation and release process for products or service offeringsEvaluate the progress towards delivery and keep stakeholders accountable to the scheduleApply solid judgment to prioritize issues across varying demandsRoadmap creation in collaboration with product management and other stakeholdersBuild relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure that requirements and expectations are understood and developedDevelop portions of support requirements for each assigned project, including schedules and resource allocation plansCoordinate the activities of associated project teams & track the progress against established plansReport results and make recommendations for alterations or updates to the program managerDevelop program communications, including status reports and summariesTrack escalations and issue resolutionsCoordinate stakeholder meetings and update project and program plansPrepare and provide customer status updates Education And Experience RequiredBachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.PMP/PMI certification preferred.Typically 4-6 years experience.Knowledge And SkillsExcellent time management and organizational skills Strong sense of personal accountability Detail-oriented, can adapt quickly and earn trust with internal stakeholders Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstaclesExperience working with stakeholders across locations and timezonesFamiliarity with working on open source projectsExperience with Agile methodologies, software development and its life cycleUsing project planning tools and software packages to create, manage and track project resultsAbility to apply analytical and problem solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, navigating conflict and complexity to ensure progress, along with the ability to communicate timelines and expectations effectively Mastery in English and local languageReady to roll up your sleeves and lead in any aspect that ensure that projects succeedNice To HaveExperience with Github, Google Workspace, Atlassian product suiteAwareness and understanding of the open source software industryBackground in working with software-defined infrastructure platformsHigh-level technical knowledge in one or more of the following areas: SUSE Rancher and/or Kubernetes based platforms, SUSE Linux Enterprise and/or Enterprise Linux Operating SystemsExperience with coordinating the delivery of technical projects, including management of a dynamic portfolio of engagements which are ongoing simultaneouslyGreat collaborator, able to work across your own team and wider groups, and to extract the best from the resources you work withOrganized mindset, bringing structure to your customer & colleague interactions and reliability to your regular commitments, able to maintain clear records and produce valuable reportsComfortable in a fast-paced environment in which change is constant – proven ability to be flexible and adaptiveJobQualityWhat We OfferWe empower you to be bold, driving your career to create the future you want.
