Deployment Manager
DescriptionAmazon is seeking an experienced Senior Field Operations Leader to drive the successful launch of our 2026 Automated Robotics (AR) or Sub Same day (SSD) facilities. This role will lead field teams responsible for installation, integration, and commissioning of mission-critical projects. The ideal candidate will build and develop high-performing teams while ensuring all projects meet Amazon's rigorous safety, timeline, cost, and quality standards.Key job responsibilitiesLead and develop field teams of 11 people per AR site or 7 people per SSD site, working on a two-weeks-on/two-weeks-off site rotation scheduleEstablish a relentless high bar team with regards of safety and quality of installationsDrive end-to-end accountability for successful installation, integration, and commissioning of complex technical projectsEstablish standardized work processes, training programs, and operational excellence initiatives to ensure consistent, high-quality deliverablesCollaborate with Central and Quality teams to define and achieve safety, timeline, cost, and quality metricsDevelop site leaders who maintain complete ownership of installations through dedicated teams, standardized work, and comprehensive trainingPartner cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure seamless project executionNote: Candidate can sit out of any Amazon location in US.Basic QualificationsKnowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced levelBachelor's degree in Engineering (any domain), Operations, Business Administration, or a related field10+ years of experience in operations management, with at least 5 years leading large-scale technical installations or commissioning projects7+ years of people management experience, including managing managersDemonstrated experience scaling teams and operations in high-growth environmentsTrack record of delivering complex technical projects on time, within budget, and to quality specificationsExperience implementing standardized work processes and operational excellence initiativesPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Engineering (any domain), Operations, Business Administration, or a related fieldExperience with robotics, automation systems, or distribution center technologiesBackground in managing teams in a rotational schedule environmentKnowledge of Amazon's operational models (NACF, ATS, GDS)Experience leading teams in high-travel roles with proven retention strategiesSix Sigma certification or equivalent process improvement methodologyStrong data analysis skills with the ability to translate metrics into actionable insightsExperience in startup or new site launch environmentsAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Los Angeles County applicants: Job duties for this position include: work safely and cooperatively with other employees, supervisors, and staff; adhere to standards of excellence despite stressful conditions; communicate effectively and respectfully with employees, supervisors, and staff to ensure exceptional customer service; and follow all federal, state, and local laws and Company policies. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
