SummaryLuther College is seeking an Assistant Women's Soccer Coach and Assistant Athletic Equipment Manager.Wage: $26,000-$27,500Principle Duties And ResponsibilitiesAssistant Women’s Soccer CoachServe as lead assistant women’s soccer coach with specific coaching responsibilities assigned by the head coach;Attend practices, competitions, meetings, planning sessions, and other essential soccer-related activities;Assist the head coach in the administration and management of the soccer program as assigned;Actively participate in the recruitment of student-athletes;Demonstrate professionalism and engagement in professional development activities, including but not limited to, knowledge acquisition, staying current with teaching techniques, strategies, and trends, attending professional meetings, and serving in leadership positions in professional organizations;Adhere to the rules, policies, and regulations established by Luther College, the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C), and the NCAA;Demonstrate a willingness to support the mission, philosophy, and goals of Luther College, NCAA III, and A-R-C;Perform other duties as assigned by the head coach.Assistant Athletic Equipment ManagerEffectively develop, organize, interpret, and store institutional equipment and uniformsProactively troubleshoot and respond to system inefficienciesAssist administrative team in venue pre-competition preparationAssist manager in hiring, training, and supervising of student-work teamAssist manager in inventory, ordering, and storing of concessions stand productCoordinate athletics department laundry alongside team of employeesEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, And SKILLSBachelor’s degree required, Master's degree preferred1-3 years of successful high school or college soccer coaching experience preferredExperience working with CRMs and institutional recruitment programs preferredAbility to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, and friends of the college PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENTMay require exposure to adverse environmental conditions such as noise and distractions. Substantial interaction with people is required and consistently demonstrating a positive and cooperative attitude is important. May require occasional lifting of equipment or supplies and/or the ability to lift, carry, push or pull or otherwise move objects. The job responsibilities require travel and working evenings and weekends.
