Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010 Location: Ashtabula, OH 44004 — Ashtabula healthcare / Ohio nursing jobs Contract Duration: 8 weeks (Travel Nurse assignment) Start Date: April 28, 2026 End Date: June 23, 2026 Shift: Night (19:00 - 07:30) or Mid (15:00 - 03:30); 3x12-hour shifts per week Hours per Week: 36 Setting: Emergency Department (ED), 24 beds, average ~80 visits per day — Emergency Department RN role Job Requirements Minimum of 18 months recent Emergency Department (ED) experience as an ER RN or ED RN Active and permanent Ohio RN license or Compact State RN license in hand (required for Ohio travel nursing jobs) American Heart Association (AHA) BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI certifications required at time of submission NIHSS certification (must be obtained prior to start) Epic electronic charting experience required Two supervisory references from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty Negative 10 Panel Nicotine (Cotinine) drug screen required within 12 months of start Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced Emergency Department — triage, rapid assessment, and stabilization Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, trauma, stroke, and acute medical conditions Administer emergency medications, IV vasopressors, blood products, and procedural sedation Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; obtain and interpret 12-lead EKG/ECG and arterial blood gases (ABGs) Care for ventilated patients, manage BiPAP/CPAP, and assist with intubation and chest tube insertion when indicated Respond to psychiatric emergencies, manage violent behavior, and support patients under psychiatric hold Apply isolation precautions and PPE, maintain central and arterial lines, and perform phlebotomy Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and case management to ensure optimal patient outcomes This travel nursing opportunity is ideal for experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses seeking short-term assignments and competitive weekly pay.
