AWS/Java Developer

Position: AWS/Java DeveloperLocation: DHHS HQ Building, 1910 Human Services Lane, Raleigh, NC 27607Work Arrangement: HybridThe role will involve working closely with the data modernization teams at ITD and DPH to design, develop, and manage AWS solutions aligned with technical requirements and business objectives.Key Requirements:Strong Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, and Hibernate experienceHands-on AWS development and cloud solutions experienceExperience with legacy application modernization and cloud migrationExperience building or supporting AWS Data LakesStrong SQL, including complex queries, database relationships, debugging, and performance tuningExperience with RDBMS/transactional databasesHands-on experience with cloud-based ETL tools and ETL pipelinesExperience with DevOps practices and automation toolsUnderstanding of data modelingExperience with Agile/Scrum environmentsPower BI or AWS QuickSight experience is a plus
