Job DetailsDescriptionResponsibilities:Removes boats from assigned spaces in the dry storage building safely and efficiently, following training guidelines for forklift operationReceives customer service and launch requests by handheld radio or telephone and performs tasks promptly with a strong service focusDaily task assignments, compliance with safety policies and procedures, and customer serviceWorks with service staff to accomplish billable repairs and maintenance with a focus on member satisfactionRelieves other staff positions as needed, i.e., mechanic, dockhand, shop clerkEnsures that forklifts are maintained by performing daily checks and reporting problems to marina supervisor or managerOperates members’ boats and jet skis in a safe and controlled mannerMust successfully complete the onsite forklift certification testing within first year of employmentOperating the POS system.QualificationsMust be at least 18 years old with a valid GA driver’s license and a good driving recordMust be able to swim, perform occasional heavy lifting up to 75 lbs, and have excellent corrected vision and good balanceMust be able to perform outdoor physical labor in varying weather conditionsPrevious experience in marina operations and/or forklift operations preferredForklift certification preferredAbility to operate the POS systemMust be able to get in and out of boats and jet skis freelyHigh School degree or GEDBenefitsMedical, dental, vision and life insurance Paid vacation after 6 monthsPaid time off after 90 days: 10 holidays, 3 sick days and 3 personal days401(k) with company match Flexible spending and health savings accountsLTD and STDEmployee discounts: food, retail merchandise, boat rentalsGolf privilegesScheduleMarina operates 7 days a week, Forklift Operators will work approximately 40 hours per week on a schedule set by the Marina Supervisor.
