Delivery Driver

Job Description Responsibilities:Our delivery associates/drivers use a delivery cargo van to drop off packages to customers within their community door to door.You can plan on working 3-5 days a weekYou can plan on a typical working day being 10 hoursOur drivers follow strict safety standards on and off the roadYou'll interact with customers and the public in professional and positive mannerYou'll use handheld technology to manage the delivery processWhat we offer:Competitive CompensationEmployee benefits availableCommunity interactionEveryday is fun and differentEssential Functions of the Position:Accomplish and pass onboarding trainingAccomplish and pass the driver training classroom and obstacle course requirementsLoad & deliver packages for houses, mobile/RV parks, apts and businesses during all weather conditionsMust commit to a dedicated work schedule and report to work on time for your shift. Must be able to get in and out of cargo van up to 100 to 200 times dailyAbility to accomplish a 150-stop delivery without a rescue/assistance at the end of six weeksAbility to work in a team environment and provide rescue/assistance to other drivers when requestedAbility to enter and exit vans whose step is one to two feet above the groundAbility to drive during dawn, day, dusk, night and inclement weather situationsMust be able to pass a background and motor vehicle checkMust be 21 + years oldMust have a valid driver's licenseMust be able to operate and navigate a delivery van, GVWR 10,000 lbs. or lessMust be able to move boxes up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodationMust consent to five panel drug screeningMust have good communication skills and the ability to work well with customers.Must be able to use GPS technology through appsMust be able to pass medical examiner certificateCompany DescriptionFreight on Wheels Express is seeking bright, motivated, hardworking individuals to fill contracted delivery associate/driver positions!!
