The Oregon State Sheriffs’ Association (OSSA) is looking for a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant who can multi-task in a very small, fast-paced, busy office. Someone with a sincere commitment to excellence and the association's success, as well as respect for the Office of Sheriff and the persons holding the Office.

Core Responsibilities:
Membership
Ensure data about our members is accurate and up-to-date, using WildApricot.
Process membership applications; renewals, and special appeals.
Serve as the point of contact for members; respond to general inquiries.
Communicate membership value to current and prospective members via our website and email.
Monitor and report on key metrics related to membership growth and generate reports to inform member engagement strategy.
Coordinate current member service programs including relationship building and contracting with vendors and benefit providers.
Actively participate in crafting membership recruitment and retention strategy.

Process course certificates
Serve as the point of contact for the public; respond to general inquiries.
Sheriff Sales (www.oregonsheriffssales.org)
Approve submitted sales for posting to the website
Invoicing for completed sales
Accounts Payable
Duties include but are not limited to:
Greet the public, Sheriffs and their staff in person and via telephone
Direct phone calls, individuals, and mail to the appropriate staff
Participate in planning/organizing conferences and events as needed.
As a member of the OSSA team, assist with special projects throughout the year.
Back up other positions as needed
All other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
At least 3 years related work experience in the membership field with preference given to those with non-profit and/or association experience
Excellent customer service skills and attitude
3+ years of QuickBooks accounts payable experience
High proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), particularly with mail merges and macros
Pass a pre-employment background check
Full-time (40 hours week) Monday - Thursday, Non-Exempt
Beginning Salary Range: $4,744 - $5,492 monthly
This position has no direct supervisory responsibility
Reports to: Executive Office Manager
Travel:
Approximately 12-15 days annually
