Manufacturing Automation Engineer

Minimum qualificationsBachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience7 years of experience in manufacturing automation development, including equipment design and validation, process development, and influence of product design teams. Preferred qualificationsExperience with high-volume and high-precision consumer electronicsExperience with robotic manipulators, vision systems, and material handling systemsManufacturing process and/or fixture development and validation experienceExperience generating functional requirements specificationsTolerance analysis experienceFluency with NX or other CAD tools, DOE, GRR, tolerance analysis, and statistical analysisExperience working cross-functionally with global teams and manufacturing partnersMaster’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineeringResponsibilitiesProduct definition and architecture selection, in collaboration with design and ID teams, via early design for automation engagementGeneration of functional requirements specifications for automated adhesive, sealing, screw driving, cleaning, conveyance, and other precision electronic assembly operationsAutomation solution design and development, in conjunction with manufacturing and automation partnersDevelopment of automation implementation schedules and oversight of factory and site acceptance testing activities
