Drive over a variety of streets, highways, and rural access roads. The driver must follow the dispatch schedule and directions from the driver supervisors. Drivers are required to take quality control samples at farms, measure the milk loaded into trailers, minimize the truck idle times, and conserve fuel consumption. We expect our drivers to operate safely and legally at all times.Travel between multiple dairy farms to collect raw milkLoad milk from farm bulk tanks into the trailer using the provided equipmentTransport collected milk to processing plants for deliveryDrop and hook trailers (swap empty for pre-loaded trailers)Follow all safety, quality, and handling procedures during pickup and transportOperate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT, DFA Commercial Motor Vehicle, and safety policies Perform various physical tasks, including lifting, connecting and disconnecting hoses, climbing a ladder, and safely hooking and unhooking trucks and trailersVerify proper documentation (Load number/Seal numbers/etc.) to validate load delivery and destinationDisassemble, clean, and reassemble trailer pumps to maintain proper cleanliness at a food-grade levelAlways represents DFA positively and professionally during interactions with customers or regulatory personnelRequirements:Valid Class A CDL in the state of residenceMust be at least 21 years of age1+ year CDL experience or FMCSA-approved driving school graduateTanker endorsement - or able to obtainHigh School diploma or GED, preferredKnowledge of DOT rules and safety regulationsMust meet MVR requirements, DOT requirements, and pre-employment background requirements Clear English communication (written and verbal)Basic math and measurement skillsMust be able to work independently Must be willing to work weekends and 12+ hour shiftsAbout Dairy Farmers of America:Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) is a national, farmer-owned dairy cooperative focusing on quality, innovation, and the future of family dairy.
